• The Little Mermaid Statue is visited by every tourist that come to Denmark, because simply is the best symbol Denmark has. Edvard Eriksen was the sculpture that created it and he used 2 women as a model for it: a ballerina and his wife. Carl Jacobsen was the one that asked Edvard Eriksen to create the sculpture. The statue isn’t very big, it has only 1.25 metres. Sadly many vandals put their eyes on the sculpture. There are also 4 copies all around the world, from which one is in California and other in Iowa.
• Tivoli Gardens produce entertainment starting with 1843 and it’s the most famous amusement park of Denmark. But it isn’t famous only in Denmark, it is in the top 3 of amusement parks of Europe too. It has 25 rides and it is most beautiful to visit at night. You have also more than 40 restaurants available if you get hungry. If you don’t like the rides you can play all sort of games or simply eat an ice cream.
• If you are parents that travel with kids then you must take them to Legoland too, because parents can play too. The Legoland Theme Park is divided into several sections, like Miniland or PirateLand. They have contests every day to see who the best constructor is.
• In Copenhagen is also situated Hans Christian Andersen Statue. Hans Christian Andersen is also a national symbol of the country and the truth is the kids love his stories. If you want to see it and make a photo with the famous author, you can find it next to the City Hall.
• The Fountain of Charity is still situated in Old Square of Copenhagen so you must go there too.
• Rosenborg Castle is also situated in the capital city of Denmark and it is a very old castle, build in 1606. It is believed that the architect Hans van Steenwinckel the Younger was the one that designed this renaissance castle. Millions of visitors came at the castle every year to see how a royal home looks like, to take a look at the luxurious chambers.
• But in the present the Amalienborg Palace hosts the royal family. Here tourists can see how guards are changed every morning, because in the castle Queen Margrethe II and her family is living. The architect of this castle was Nicolai Eigtved and it was finished in 1760.
